A-hah!
I've got it!
I typed something into the box on the main page, went to chat.php, which worked, then, went back to the main page, and it still works!
I can see the chat box! HOO-RAH! |

Okay, I've been spotting a bit of a trend here...
Is there some way you guys - I mean your highnesses - could make ARC display the current time (in the same timezone as those listed in the messages)? Half of the posts to ARC these days seem to be citizens saying hello to other citizens that last posted hours ago...
I'm not saying it should update every second or anything... Maybe every time the user loads a new page, or some other suitable interval that works well with the code?
Obviously it's hardly the end of the complex if people keep talking to themselves... I just anticipate we'll see a few more citizens executed for their odd behaviour. _________________ Blog: [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] Is A Compliment |

I don't understand: each message displays its timestamp in the same timezone that you have set in your profile (I doublechecked by changing it just now). So if someone wants to stop themselves saying hello to someone who is long gone, all they have to do is look at their watch. _________________ For the Glory of Friend Computer! |

Hmm, for some reason I thought it was set to some random foreign time. It does indeed look right at the moment (barring our recent switch to British Stupid Time, which is not the forum's fault and indeed can be corrected by myself, were I not totally lazy).
I shall report to the nearest termination booth immediately, for having treasonously wasted everybody's valuable time here. _________________ Blog: [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] Is A Compliment |

NOW WITH 50% MORE HIDDENNESS
ARC now recognizes your forum setting for "Hide When Online". If you're hidden, you won't show up in the Current AlphaNet Users list at http://www.paranoia-live.net/forum/chat.php.
If you see any problems due to this, please do let me know.
EDIT: I see it's not updating the list properly unless you manually refresh, so I'll work on that. I don't think that's enough to revert to the original version, though, so I'm leaving it as is for now. |

Alright, it's ARC.
It's making FF crash, no doubts about it, and if I'm downloading something important...
Well, it's worse than Hot Cold Fun. _________________ ¬_¬

Or Cold Hot Fun?
Actually, I'm not having any problems with it, and I'm using FF, too... of course, no one's actually said anything on it since I got on tonight... |

I'll be able to test the FireFox angle once I get home.
Right now, I'm at work, and I work as a subcontractor for Microsoft, so I can't use FireFox to browse the intarweb. _________________ STATUS

Well, I got home, fired up Paranoia-Live.net, went to the forums, turned on ARC, and...
It worked fine.
Maybe it's your Java version? _________________ STATUS

| The ARC works, but it seems to cause a lot of server errors. I think the code might need some tweaking. |

it may be the server in general, as opposed to ARC code... there is some discussion of general response issues in:another thread. _________________ Hugh-B-DED-11, Coordinator - Evacuations & Order

That? Sadly, that's normal for ARC. _________________ Name: Teln-Y-URN-3
