Yesterday posting was a nightmare and several of my posts got unposted and no longer exist.
Today the server is also pretty glacial compared to Monday. Other fora appear to be OK.
Help?

Zild and grov experianced similar issues, and when I tried to access it today, I got critical can't access the DB errors a few times

I've been seeing docbots on and off for months. Sometimes they get so bad that I give up trying to post for the night and wait for morning so they'll hopefully clear up.
I'd try and look into it somehow, but its a tad above my security clearance. |

I've put in a request to Dreamhost for us to be transferred to a different server. I have a theory--we were using a lot of CPU time and they put us in "time out" with our noses in the corner about a week before they stopped caring how much CPU time sites used. My theory is they forgot about us still in the corner and we have been sitting there for years, silently crying tears that no one would ever see.
Ideally Dreamhost will, upon receipt of my complaint, release us back into the wonderful, idyllic playground that is a metaphor for a better server.
Meanwhilst, in case we need some solid evidence to back up our case, please continue to post time and date of any outages or extreme slowdowns that occur in this thread. |

15 1 08 10am ESDST (GMT +10) from 10:20 to 10:45 no access. Solid docbots on all attempted accesses (>20+). Speaking as someone who is doing a role as a site mod/admin this is getting to the point where either it gets better or I'm not playing anymore.

I hit it too, solid docbots for several hours yesterday. Can't give you specifics because it was basically every time I tried to log on, throughout the day.
Speaking as someone who is doing a role as a site mod/admin this is something I've dealt with for a long time, but I'm not giving up yet because I'm not a Commie Mutant Traitor.
