[Boogie-O, no longer having to drag Hugh along by the coat, walks just behind Aratos and Rex.]
[As seasoned and unflappable as he is, he nonetheless feels a little uneasy. The breach through high-level quarters to the Outdoors, and the powerful mutant in the wombat caves - two things he is pretty sure he made up - seem to dovetail unpleasantly well with what is happening now. The disembodied voice haunting Hugh, a deserted sector with the power down... strange stuff indeed.]
[It's at times like these that Boogie-O really wants to talk to the Mighty Vole. He always knows what to do. He might even know what's going on... some of it at least.]
[In the meantime, at least all this is postponing what was likely to be a rather rough debrief courtesy of the ever-suspicious BLUE.]

Within a couple of minutes of Task Force Sago's departure, Elle-1 creeps along on their trail.
Pausing briefly, crouched below where the vision of the Computer terminal ought to be able to see (and if anything does see, she's not exactly in a state to be recognized by sight), she pulls out a memcard and...a very hacked together from spare parts who knows how many cycles ago, with a memcard reader on one end and a PDC uplink connector on the other. It gets plugged in the terminal's PDC uplink receiver, and the former top-ranked Computer Phreak scampers a hasty retreat, not about to hang around and see what happens. Just in case.
The memcard in the device she plugged in is of course, a virus. Mostly, its job is to open trojans and backdoors she helped place in the system long ago, which she can only hope still work. It also has a host of other...interesting side effects. And by interesting, I mean any chaos the GM finds convenient to blame on it.
We'll see if any of that worked later. In the meantime, the ghost of PLN past stalks after the other four clones. She ought to catch up with them somewhere around Power Services. Serendipity!

* Hugh continues to follow in the rear, slowing his pace to avoid bypassing Boogie. The true source of the oddly familiar femclone voice seems to cotinue to remain unseen, though Elle may or may not be mistaken as such should she get close enough to the group and be spotted. In any event, the voice does not appear to be heard for the remainder of the trek as the members of Team Sago presumably all continue to make their way. Boogie didn't spot Hugh doing anything odd. At least, not moreso than normal. *
"Hey, isn't that the entrance to Power Services?"
* Hugh's arm pop's up, and Hugh's mouth moves liberally when Shorty 'talks'. *
 Shorty: "I dink youse is right!"
* Hugh peers ahead to try to take in the new scene. *

Somehow Rex knows the melody to My Way, and he makes use of it. He leans back with arms stretched out. Looking up at Power Services he sings
"And noooooooooow, the time is neeaaar, and so I face, my punching mission. Of lights, I've punched a few, til they were on, til it was certain. I punched your face, and it is true, I'll punch you with, my orange shoe. Don't run, don't flee away, I'll punch you eeeevery single daay, aaaaand what's more? What's more than this? I'll punch you myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay."
At this, Rex takes off running for the door giddily.

In a very dark shadow, behind some imperfectly stacked boxes near the mouth of the dark alley, Rex stares with a locked squint. He struggles to keep his vision on the entrance to Power Services while focusing on the features of the now obscured cardboard monstrosity. He is slick with sweat and his breathing is deep and steady. When at last the smoke clears, Rex hangs his head, relaxing. . .
His head bolts back up when he hears something dragging on the ground towards him. He ducks down and waits. Waits to do inconspicuous pushups if the sound should come to him, that is.

If he has good vision, Rex might catch the shadowy outlines of a clone looking vaguely like Hugh being dragged by an unknown figure. However, they turn down into a side corridor before they can get close enough for a positive ID.
Elle herself only gets a few yards down the side corridor herself before she has to stop, breathing heavily. Working quickly, she straddles herself across Hugh's back (practically sitting on him), fishes his PDC out with one hand, fishes hers out with the other hand and starts downloading stuff to it.

* IMMEDIATELY as Elle straddles Hugh (at least momentarily interrupting her attempt to begin to fish around in Hugh's trenchcoat in hopes of TRYING to locate his PDC,) the distinctive ZAP noise of an energy weapon discharging is clearly heard. It may or may not have been loud enough to echo off the walls and be heard from Rex's position. That telltale sound is so close that Elle would swear it must have been from point blank range, but she inexplicably does not feel the searing pain that would accompany being hit by an energy beam. Hugh's glassy eyes flicker open, but he still seems relatively limp. It's not entirely clear if his awakening was the result of being struck by an energy beam, the loud ZAP noise, or simply the pressure of Elle's straddle on his body. *

Spooked by all the shuffling and turning and lasing sounds, Rex decides he's better safe than sorry (a no brainer). He sprawls out prone, and starts doing pushups. He maintains proper form. By the time Elle's gotten to flipping Hugh, Rex huffs air audibly enough to be heard faintly down the side alley.

Scowling, Elle fishes the multitool from her pocket. Alas, it doesn't appear to contain a knife - the sharpest thing she can find in it is either the nail file or the screwdriver.
It'll have to do. She presses the edge and point of the nail file against Hugh's neck with one hand while rifling through his coat and pockets with the other. "Hold still" she hisses, "and maybe I won't kill you yet."
One of the things she checks out during her search is the afformentioned mystery ORANGE thing.
