I still vote for use of minecraft and modulation of minecraft into a large alpha complex! But that's just me.

Use a free hosting service like Imageshack, and then link to it from here, P-R-ANK-STER.
(Also, phpBB requiring a 'www' subdomain for URL tags is terrible.)

If nothing else it would be easier to setup than scripting an entire game from scratch.

*We interrupt this boring story transmission for a special announcement. The boys at R&D have found a special portal that leads to [Deleted for Security reasons]. Due to Friend Computer's lack of desire to damage that which isn't expendable he has sent brave troubleshooter Prank-R-GUD into the portal to investigate for traitors on R&D's behalf. This is the first scene of the troubleshooter's first steps into this new dimension*

Okay I have begun my work in this sector, it appears I can evade these creatures if I build what other's call a "house." With this "house" I can escape persecution from these... Whatever they are.
*builds his house out of sand*
Alright! Now lets see these things defy my indomitable courage!
*creeper comes up behind him*
Say... What's that hissing sound?
*Kaboom!*
12 Monthcycles and 30 Daycycles later
I am amazed I am still alive here! Creatures that explode? Spiders bigger than my house!? And for the love of mercy why is it so spacious!?!
Strangely I'm starting to miss my place in Alpha Complex ;.;
Gotta think of a plan...
7 Yearcycles, 7 monthcycles and 7 day cycles later...
Okay I have gotten all the materials, things have been doing somewhat well and I have learned never to stand next to the red explody stuff marked TNT or use this red powdery items.
Now that I have conquered this place I will requisition more to come in the name of Friend Computer!
Now requisitioning for allies in sector [Deleted for Security Reasons] There now they'll come a- oh wait... Oh FRAG-[Deleted for Security Reasons]!

I do like the idea of a minecraft/paranoia server. Someone is going to have to create a proper seed, or... risk starting WAY OUTSIDE of your clearance level.

Indeed it would be! Being that Alpha Complex is all about fun and that Minecraft is the most popular game which is in turn very fun this would be Paranoias perfect match! Specially with how flexible it is. Now all we need to do is find a way to make a server and find a modder or borrow from mods.
I believe it should possibly be from this!

It's worth an experiment anywho. I'd be worried about the play goal quickly transitioning from being an attempt to realize paranoia via minecraft to having a gallery of paranoia-inspired minecraft art, especially considering how many (or more to the point, few) players we might actually expect cultivating the server.
But nothing ventured nothing gained eh?
As far as hosting goes I'm sure someone has server space to spare, if not here I'll poke my own network. That plan failing, I'd be willing to pitch in 5/10$ for a couple month run of things.

Schweet ^^ though I'm really not sure about leading a project like that I'd prefer to get some UV to do it. Though I also would be willing to contribute money to this sci-fi idea!
Speaking of sci-fi I believe there will be something that will help even better, possibly be a cooler place to set the game. Still in development though It is created by the same guy from Sweden who made Minecraft.

Will fit perfectly with the whole sci-fi/post-apocalypse world and would be less harder to mod.
