* All is apparently not well in the loft heights? of the Central Command Bunker. Phail UV is standing in front of an enormous vidscreen that is filled with the ever watchful eye of Friend Computer. It seems that Friend Computer has some issues with how PLN sector was being run before Phase V fixed everything. Friend Computer has even gone so far as to suggest that seeing as how Phial-UV was in charge at the time Phial-UV might have some 'splainin' to do. *
* Oh dear! How will our valiant hero {no that will never fly even with a whole new crowd of freshly brain scrubbed REDs}..loyal and humble servant {Oh I'm getting a headache. Who hired these script monkeys? Looks like it's time for frank honesty}loathsome but all powerful master save his soylent this time? *
Yes Friend Computer it was a terrible tragedy. I did what I could to save the loyal and hygienic. If only that UV who was so concerned about reactors hadn't let the side down. Even then I could possibly have salvaged things if there hadn't been all those communication breakdowns due that other UV. I too was stunned by the sheer amount of treachery performed by some of those who you had placed so much faith in. You can understand how it would have taken me completely by surprise.
* Yes citizens that good old standby, selling out the rest of the team, works at all clearance levels. Especially if the peopele being denounced are mysteriously unavailable for comment. That positively screams guilty. One might even go so far as to wonder where they are now. Alternatively you could know exactly where they are now and only occasionally wake up in a cold sweat worrying about secretly concealed backup clones. As worrying as that might be, Phial-UV has more immediate worries. Seeing through his entirely watertight but unsatisfactory alibi Friend Computer has informed Phial-UV that as it has been the case that some UVs have proven treacherous in the past in PLN special circumstances are appropriate if Phial-UV is to be returned to absolute power (Rumours that the words 'boob', 'clod' and 'imbecile' were used are of course treason). Why bother you with such details? How can the machinations and deliberations of such exalted entities concern a lowly cog in the great machine leap forward? Well while the details are unimportant, pain travels downhill, fast. *
* The vid screen snaps to black ubruptly. *
