Just when you thought you'd reached your maximum fun threshold...
Our latest community project is the world's first PARANOIA encyclopedia. And who's going to write this wonderous journal of darkly humourous Paranoia?
Simple. Our GMs!
That's right, our very own beloved GMs have been charged with putting together the biggest database of Paranoia information this side of LIB Sector. Those who are keen to take part in this glorious tribute to Alpha Complex are invited to join the GM group.
Have fun!

EDIT: Okay, basically, to add something do you edit the first page and add stuff below it, or do you start a new page? Sorry, this is my first time actually using one of these. _________________ Clone: Xai-I-SHI-4

| You start a new page. Have you logged in and read the Wiki Rules? The ones marked MANDATORY? |

| There is no 'New Page' button. Take out a moment to read the Wiki Rules. In there you'll find out how to create new pages. |

I did! I promise I read the rules already! Friend Computer told me to!
I'll have a look again, mind, although I think I may have figured the answer to that already...
EDIT: Ah yes, I thought it had something to do with the sandbox, but it didn't quite click at the time. Very convoluted! How very Paranoia! _________________ Blog: [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] Is A Compliment |

| Believe me when I say this wiki is far easier to use than some others I could mention. We're going to have plenty of teething problems to begin with -- we'd planned for it. |

Yes, but it works well - it means people are forced to at least read part of the rules page!
And anybody who asks for help making a new article is admitting their treason in not reading the mandatory rules. Apart from me, of course. I'm just stupid. (But happy!) _________________ Blog: [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] Is A Compliment |

I admit that I have yet to read these rules. My poor example in this regard is not to be followed. So I have no clue how you guys are creating new pages, but it sounds unnessisarily complicated.
Here is how I do it.
I think I'll go read those rules now. _________________ If the purpose of the experiment is to see what will happen, then the experiment will be a success no matter what happens!

I read 'em. I'm now spending a productive hour or so adding entries and watching others trying to edit the trail of destruction I leave.

Just to clarify: this is the standard procedure (as I understand it) of how to create a page.
1) find an older page where you wanted a link to your new page. For example, on a page about "Secret Societies", you wanted a link to "Death Leopard," with Death Leopard being the page you're creating.
2) Add in the text where your link is going to appear. For the thing that you want linked (in this case, Death Leopard) put double brackets [[ ]] around it. In the DL case, you would go to the Secret Societies page and type something like:
"[[Death Leopard]] is a secret society devoted to smashing things! Yeah!"
(please don't write short blurbs like that for the actual Alphapedia; this is just an example)
3) Now, go save your changes. Go ahead and view the edited page. Hey! The text you added has sprouted a link in red...this should (hopefully) be the page you wanted to create.
4) Go ahead and click on that link. You can then begin editing your page.
This method is a bit better than that of my esteemed colleague Moto, because it ensures that no page will become orphaned due to no other pages linking to it. This preserves the interconnectedness of the Wiki.
Just another note, guys: try not to put in stubs. Stubs are small snippets like "RED is a security clearance." More info, ladies and gentlemen! MORE INFO! Try to have at least a paragraph in each entry; ideally, have two. _________________ www.ninjalistics.com |

Nearly there... but what if there is no page that would link to what you wish to add?
True, you could always add in dubious points just to make the links, but that's not the point...
But you're getting there
(And I must admit, the section that deals with it on the rules page didn't make sense the first time. Didn't even make sense the second time, when I at least understood the context!) _________________ Blog: [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS] Is A Compliment |

| Moto's method is perfectly acceptable; in fact, it's what I used. I decided to leave the "make-a-link-in-the-sandbox" method up in the rules because I thought it was easier, but maybe not... |
