I shop on Amazon frequently, and often notice the abundance of useless lists that collect information that would be highly obvious to anyone who made the minimal effort to type a keyword or two into a search engine.
Today I was looking at some listings for Paranoia books curious to see if there were any posted reviews there, when I noticed that the Listmania suggested no lists about Paranoia. I was a little surprised no one had yet made such a list, but then I figured why not make one myself.
Sure I scoff at these lists. But I figured if there's a list (or 2 or 3 or 7) for pretty much every other item on amazon that could in some way be connected to some other item on amazon, and loads of lists for RPGs, then Paranoia may as well have one too. So I went ahead and made my very first list.
Check it out here:
Paranoia 101 (Failure To Read This List Is Treason)
I originally wanted to call it Paranoia 101 (Or How I Learned To Stop Committing Treason And Love The Computer) but it was too long to fit.
Anyway, I think and hope that if enough people rate it, it will start to show more often on webpages for category matches (read: RPG products) and get the word out more. I don't care for my own purposes how many people see it. There's no ego in this. Only a desire to get more people hooked on Paranoia. But I hope you enjoy the list regardless. _________________ Our Founder, who art Perfection, binary be thy name.

Splendid idea, citizen. In honour of your efforts I've just completed a similar list on amazon.co.uk, noting in discreet square brackets any bibliographic details Amazon have gotten wrong... I agree, the list feature has never grabbed me before, but they might just help spread the PXP word.
To further buck the trend of useless lists on Amazon, we should endeavour to update them when new books are added to the range...
Vaguely relatedly, the idea of putting PXP book details, prices, release dates, links to 1st/2nd ed. material, etc. into a PHP/MySQL database has been itching away at the back of my mind for a while now. I could do with the coding practise, and hell, I used to work in a library so I guess I have a slightly weird craving for order _________________ RPing in Operation Ironside:

Glad to hear the idea has been taken to the UK as well. As fans of the game, its up to us to make sure that our game is well-represented, and that potential players are accurately informed as to how much fun they'll have being horrifically misinformed.
I'd like to thank and congratulate those of you who have checked out the list. It seems to have worked. My list now appears in the recommended Listmania entries for:
Mutant Experience
The incorrectly titled Paranoia Recycled
the GM screen
but not (yet)
Paranoia XP (which is unfortunately still out of stock at Amazon)
Crash Priority
Traitor's Manual
It's a start and hopefully it will snowball onward from here until there isn't anyone in the gaming community anywhere who hasn't heard of Paranoia and the mandatory fun it offers. _________________ Our Founder, who art Perfection, binary be thy name.

I just went to the Designer's blog for the first time in a week today and noticed today Allen's very kind comments regarding the amazon list there. I'm very flattered.
I also wanted to congratulate any of you who have been sending updates to Amazon regarding the products, because they've fixed the author listings and corrected the name of Paranoia Flashbacks. So I've updated the entry for it. _________________ Our Founder, who art Perfection, binary be thy name.
