Welcome, citizen. You have been fortunate enough to volunteer for active duty as a Troubleshooter. Congratulations.
Trust no-one! Stay alert! Keep your laser handy!
As your assigned Briefing Officer for today, it is my duty to inform you just what we do here at Paranoia-Live. If you're not aware of the game of Paranoia (makes me wonder why you came here in the first place) then please go here for a safe and fun guide to what we do. Now.
In short, we use a free app named JParanoia to play the Paranoia RPG online. Download it here. Members can either play or GM a game and all they need to do is join this forum and post their games in the Mission Alert part of the forum.
That's it. Simple. Safe. Fun. Friend Computer says so. _________________ High Programmer Jazzer ~ Webmaster of Paranoia-Live.net |

Citizen, as you probably shouldn't know, daycycles and nightcycles are different in sectors such as AUS, USA, UKK and EUR. However, friend Computer, in his infinite wisdom, has set us all with a conviniet method of keeping the time, regardless of the current status of the corridor lights. This is very thoughtful of it, won't you agree? Of course you would.
Some of the games are therefore scheduled for USA daycycles, and are simply declared using the GMT standard complex time. This is very efficent. Friend Computer says so. _________________ Clone number: 1

| and when el-r-kin says some, he means most.... so, you should be fine. theres lots of games that start around 11pm or later GMT, which is only about 6pm EST. |

I agree wholeheartedly! Friend Computer is wise and all-knowing! I am happy that Friend Computer has set us all with a convenient method of keeping the time! Joy!!
Sooner or later going to have to have a shot at GMing with some friends online. Unfortunately those in my area are all commie mutant traitors and members of secret societys too. So out of luck in regards to live games. C'est la vie!..
I love tihs game. It appeals to my evil sense of humor and theres so many opportunitys for irony with little effort. |

Many praises to The Computer for this mandatory Happy Fun Place called Paranoia-Live. Being newly activated I look forward to when I am free to volunteer for Troubleshooting Duty. But for now I shall observe Training Videos within my proper clearance to see what happiness I can look forward to!
((I've heard of Paranoia but I've never actually read a book, much less play a game. When I have time I'd love to be able to try out a session or more. And if I have a great time, I might just have to get PXP when it comes out.)) |

Well, eventually I'd like to sit down and start participating in some of these wonderful assignments for the glory of the computer. I'd like to observe a few to 'get into the swing of things'.
Are the game addresses posted somewhere, or do we need to contact the GM in charge?
(assuming, of course, that's within my security clearance).
Edit: actually I see that there's a game registry thingy that would let me select from a list, but my work place blocks the URL? |

You obviously work for commies. Before you submit their names to Friend Computer, contact me privately with some detail on any errors you might be getting. _________________ High Programmer Jazzer ~ Webmaster of Paranoia-Live.net |

Of course not citizen.
Asking questions is a good sign of a clone who wants to help out Alpha Complex as much as they can.
The answers, however, those can kill you. |

Hail Friend Computer! What a glorious daycycle! I look forward to serving as a troublesooter! As I am very new to this game having only heard of it 2 days ago I look forward to being allowed to observe some games so that my sevice to FC will be the best I can provide.
I have done much reading and would love to do more if anyone could recommend any sites I may wan't to check. Being that they are accessable by a clone of my clearance, ofcourse. I'm interested in reading up on armor, and weapons to see what the defenses, and damage ratings are. Also anything about Alpha Complex itself, B3, Happy Pills, Bots, etc.
I humble myself before you all and greatfully thank you in advance for any knowledge you deem I am worthy of.
Enjoy your daycycle! |

Look no further, citizen! Knowledge of any weapons and armor will be provided on a need-to-know basis. Knowledge of so-called 'damage ratings' is treasonous. Every weapon is fatal to traitors and harmless to loyal citizens. Your ultimate faith in the Computer is the only armor you'll need.
As for other Alpha Complex items, you'll find them to be self-explanatory: The happy pilles make you happy. The docbots heal your wounds. The guardbots guard you from harm. And as for the chapsticks - well, I don't really need to tell you what they do, do I? You have absolutely nothing to worry about.
If you still want to learn more about the wonderful world of Paranoia, feel free to browse through the game logs in here: http://www.paranoia-live.net/content.php?article
And the Paranoia Lexicon game also provides some nice Paranoia fiction in short, easy-to-read Wikki format: http://paranoia.allenvarney.com/ _________________ Clone number: 1

I note there is a game scheduled for today, Sunday May 2nd at 2300 GMT. How do I connect to that game? |
