Rejoice Citizen! The Computer has selected YOU for promotion! You are henceforth promoted from blast furnace nozzle cleaner third class to troubleshooter, red level. You will now be responsible for sorting out situations that have a high risk and minimal survival chances on behalf of the Alpha Complex. Please report to your nearest terminal for assignment to a troubleshooter team. Alternatively you may report to a liquidation chamber for organic reassignment.
I'm looking for 3 players to join my new Paranoia PBEM game. To make life nice and easy for new players I've taken the liberty of rewriting and simplifying all the rules to fit the PBEM format. You'll find everything you need to play on the site. I really miss running Paranoia games and have a huge amount of material and prepared missions as well as longer campaigns all set up and ready to go.
Players must be over 18, the desire to backstab, cheat, lie and generally sleaze their way through the game is a huge advantage. A sense of humour (british spelling) and friendly attitude to other players is essential. The game will play via email at least once a week and will require you to be in contact with other players to plot and scheme.

Welcome to the site alphacomplex. Just thought I should clarify a point here... Are you intending to run the game on these forums? Or on a seperate site? Apologies if I've missed something obvious. Oh, and one other thing, the 18 years or above thing, well, if it is gonna be run on this site, then everyone will be able to see it anyway... So that would pretty much null and void the point of having a minimum age requirement.
This being your first post on the site, I trust you've considered all the possibilities with regards to running games. As you may, or may not, be aware, the site also provides an excellent application called JParanoia for running live games. _________________ Xai-I-SHI-4: Eyes and skin glowing a faint green, bearded, unkempt and dirty-looking, wearing a worn and lumpen trench coat over an officer's riot control suit and jumpsuit with boots, the belt of a holster visible around his waist... |

Incidentally, skimming your site, what version of Paranoia are you using? Because that certainly isn't XP (or whatever we're calling it now). Actually, grey and white ranks? And black is some kind of IntSec rank? I'm confused. Not, you understand, that I think there's anything wrong with your version, I'm just interested as to where you found the version you're using. Did any of the Paranoia editions have grey and white instead of Infrared and Ultraviolet? _________________ 2DMan - Master of Calm |

I haven't seen any with grey and white. Not read 1st edition, admitably but 2nd and 5th didn't. _________________ IC info for Aratos-R-SCO-1

Well, as alphacomplex says, (s)he did rewrite the rules a bit. Looks like an interesting twist on Alpha Complex. I definitely approve of rank black being given the respect that that awesome color deserves. If I had more time, I might even sign up to play.
But I am disappointed in one thing...
It's the Illuminati, not the Illumanti. ARRRGGHHHH! _________________ www.ninjalistics.com |
