For the "Useless or Worse" category, one thing I've enjoyed is having "Detect Mutant Powers" or "Dectect Whatever" being extremely extremely visible. When your eyes glow red every time some traitor uses some freakish power, you suddenly become very loyal in hunting down unregistered mutants.
Another good power in the category would be the classic "Blind Self." |

A few for the Quick Shots:
Boiling Blood
Quick Shot Type: Bizarre/Horror
The mutant is capable of raising the temperature of his own blood. Success increases core body temperature by +1°F for each point of success margin. While hyperthermic the mutant is flushed and sweaty. Fainting and collapse may result from success margins of 5+; while a success of 15+ will result in brain death, massive organ failure and muscular dissolution.
Magnetic Limb
Quick Shot Type: Bizarre
The mutant's bones, in one limb (choose randomly), contain a disproportionately high quantity of polarized iron which can attract metallic objects within a number of meters equal to the success margin of a Power roll. The effect tends to erupt as a result of stress.
At One With Alpha
Quick Shot Type: Difficult to Run
For a brief moment, on a successful Power check, the mutant groks the whole Alpha Complex and all within it. The insight is sudden and confusing, but significant success may allow the mutant to extract potentially useful information (just as failure will do the exact opposite, and probably cause a short-term coma to boot). _________________ Check out The Underplex at your local store now!

Clone Self
The citezen is able to temporarily produce a complete clone of themselves. This clone is an exact copy without fault or deviation. It's identity is a complete match of the orriginal, with all the same statistics and abilities, plus copies of the clones equipment. There may be ego problems where the new copy will insist he is the orriginal and the PC is the copy, but that will be fine as shortly one of the two clones will cease to exist.
Fugue
The same ability as above but achieved by dragging a copy of the clone from a short time in the future. You pull your future self into the current moment. This produces a fully trust worthy companion who will battle alongside you to defeat foes. Possible uses would be to add a little more fire power in a gun fight, another pair of hands to help prevent a reactor melt down or any number of other great buddy moments. Potential problems... well the future version of you arives injured either from the fire fight you sought help in or from the failed attempt at fixing said reactor. _________________ Schroding/R's bot is both alive and terminated. |
