EXTENSIVE SURVEY WORK HAS FOUND THAT IR CITIZENS ARE OFTEN IGNORANT OF THEIR CIVIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES. THIS HAS BEEN SHOWN TO RESULT IN AN OVERALL EXECUTION RATE OF 32.7%. THIS IS CLEARLY UNACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE REDUCED BY 2.7%.
SO EAGER APPLICANTS PLEASE (IN ADDITION TO YOUR STANDARD DUTIES) PRODUCE A SUITABLE HANDBOOK AND ENSURE ITS PROPER DISTRIBUTION. YOUR SECTOR EXECUTION RATES WILL THEN BE COMPARED AND A WINNER ANNOUNCED. |
News summary for PLN/ORG - 2nd place.
A thoroughly lackluster brouchure was produced and distributed sucessfully. It was however enthusiastically received by the IR populous as the pages were significantly softer than standard IR paper.
News summary for PLN/FAK - 3rd place.
An uninspired document was drafted but during the manufacturing and distribution process Commie saboteurs managed to make it MUCH more interesting. PLC distributed it with machine like precision and execution rates skyrocketted as IR citizens ceased the means of production and sought to redistribute the wealth.
In unrelated news there have been scattered reports of signage thefts in sectors as far away as PLN/LOL.
News summary for PLN/UNN - 1st place.
A gripping and highly entertaining handbook was created. It was efficiently distributed and marketting of it's use saw it almost universally put into daily use. Execution rates plummetted although there is some confusion as to exactly what they now are.

Players may (either publically or via PM to The GM) react to these events it will not effect the PUBLIC record but may alter relative standings in such a way as to move someone from say 3rd to 1st before the NEXT progress round. These results are cummulative.
Special note: The 'UN' signage subplot. While I like that this has been wound into the narrative by all three players, it is a classic example of the IC/OCC information barrier being breached. It is an ongoing dilema for the forum game(s) as The GM tries to make everyone post in clear and so must protect players from having their post exploited.
FOR THIS GAME, rather than The GM making a judgement call, If you are a player who is effected (In this case Zyborg) please flag the event. Obviously The GM reserves the right to react/intervene regardless but the responsibility is explicitly being passed to the player to lodge a grievence. In the absence of a grievence then it is assumed that the usage is fair play. _________________ The GM (Game Master) oversees the running of the IC game. His word is final. |

I am glad you allowed the UN subplot. That was the best part of the story so far. I really love how Danforth stole my twist and twisted it against me. It was perfect oneupmanship and made me laugh out loud when I saw it.
To allow for interaction you need to let players play off of each other but as GM making our subplots occasionally backfire makes perfect sense just to keep things interesting or to make it fair for less active players.
My violet diary should be up momentarily.
Edit: I didn't see it as breaking the IC/OOC barrier as I wasn't acting on his allocations. I was acting based on what was visible in his sectors. The unsabotagable idea was brilliant and I figured that plants/spies couldn't miss the non-standard naming scheme for subsectors.

Interesting you read that as stealing and turning against you! I was actually doing my best to minimise the IC/OOC crossover Phial spoke of, limiting Forthdan's knowledge of what was going on to what his underlings could have told him (he knows there's a surplus, but not why), and making a financial link of it rather than trying to "win".
I totally built my joke on your joke, but no in-game "pwning" was intended The GM decided in my favour this time, but who knows what will happen next?
Well, maybe if someone picks a VIOLET Psion, they'd know. But I digress. _________________ IC RPG notes, currently "resting": Sheldrake-R-PLN-1 # Laconic, sinewy R&D scientist

| HOT FUN CONSUMPTION IS MYSTERIOUSLY LOW IN THE FOLLOWING SECTORS PLN/ORG, PLN/FAK, PLN/UNN. PLEASE SOLVE THE MYSTERY AND RESTORE HOT FUN CONSUMPTION TO NORMAL LEVELS. |
News summary for PLN/ORG - 3nd place.
After an extensive investigation it was found that:
Mr Potty is a poo poo.
PLC apparently have no idea where any of their inventory currently is.
Technical Services have no idea why there are so many failures as they have all available personnel repairing already reported failures.
Petty theft probably including Hot Fun is on the rise.
Sales of the IR brand 'Sand paper Samuri' hygene paper have plumetted.
R&D are working on a way to inject Hot Fun directly from vats into moving clones. Results are mixed and they are calling for more volunteers.
Power Services are asking for a through investigation of recent acts of sabotage.
After consulting a private source the VIOLET in command was able to establish that in all likelihood:
Communist cells had taken over much of the vacant Armed Forces infrastructure. They are living largely on hijacked shipments of Hot Fun. When the publicity campaign to increase sales of Hot Fun was commenced a large number of signs were soon displaying "Get Some Hot F!". Nobody is sure what 'Hot F' is but it seems part of a wider conspiracy and sounds dangerously treasonous.
News summary for PLN/FAK - 1st place.
The Missing Hot Fun was found to be in a 'special' warehouse awaiting a false supply/demand gouging campaign. It's subsequent release saw an almost immediate restoration of consumption figures but did place a larger than normal strain on Power Services who have requested to have additional power routed to PLN/FAK from as far away as PLN/ORG.
Reports from Trouble Shooter debriefings indicate widespread and successful raids on signage pretty much everywhere (including some in FAK). Statistical Analysis indicates that a larger than usual incidence of accusations of Commie treason were being made across the board during debriefing but the current hold on terminations was creating some backlogs.
News summary for PLN/UNN - 2nd place.
Despite what has amounted to an extensive purging of PLC's ranks in an intense investigation of Hot Fun inventory where it has all gone remains a profound mystery.
Furthermore all attempts to increase consumption have failed and the figures are dramatically low. So low that The Computer is taking an intense interest in the figures and requesting more and more detail from CPU. The INDIGO in charge of CPU in PLN/UNN was last seen entering a confession booth.
As if that wasn't enough during investigations reports about reactor sabotage have been consistently received. That's all you need.
Maybe Phial cancelling your invitation to his cloneday celebration is a blessing in disguise.

| SENSORS INDICATE UNACCEPTABLE LEVELS OF MUTANTS IN SUBSECTORS ORG, FAK & UNN. REDUCTION OF MUTANT NUMBERS IS ESSENTIAL TO MAINTAINING PROPER QUALITY. NUMBERS OF REGISTERED MUTANTS ARE ALSO UNACCEPTABLY LOW. |
News summary for PLN/ORG - 2nd place.
R&D almost immediately brought forth a mutant detector and set about detecting mutants for experimental verification purposes. Internal Security was soon overwhelmed by an enormous increase in case load but PLC sprang to the rescue with a special supplimentary soylent harvesting program. There was a spontaneous increase in mutant registrations.
In unrelated news Power Services report that there are unacceptably high levels of radiation in PLN/ORG but they are certain it isn't coming from their reactors although additional shielding is always welcome especially if there is a surplus.
News summary for PLN/FAK - 1st place.
Cestla-V-FAK's marketting focus groups quickly determined that a competition to demonstrate the most powerful mutation would serve to meet the necessary requirements. Citizens rushed to register their prize winning mutations. This made it relatively easy to cull out the less entertaining and/or profitable and the resulting vid show just fed off the earlier success.
Friend Computer was so impressed it sent Cestla-V-FAK a special commendation. Unfortuantely due to a design issue Cestla-V-FAK was unable to pin the 17 meter diameter medal on.
Cestla-V-FAK's network of spys and informants have some good news! Although funding for the dangerous armed subversives was withdrawn the thuds of seemingly coordinated nuclear strikes have been reported from many neighbouring subsectors. Such efficiency!
News summary for PLN/UNN - 3nd place.
Increase mutant registrations while decreasing mutant numbers? Doesn't anyone realise this is ridiculous? Maybe if we ignore it the figures will change on their own in a more happy direction. Anyway it's not like there aren't more important issues facing the sector. A senior (deceased) advisor drew up the following list of emergency priorities for UNN.
1/ Restore communications with the 30% of the subsector that went offline during the recent reactor accidents.
2/ Assess damage to the 48% of the subsector heavily effected by recent reactor accidents.
3/ Restore power and essential services to the 62% of the subsector effected by recent reactor accidents.
4/ Investigate and prosecute those responsible for allowing the recent reactor accidents.
Written into the margin of this report was a note mentioning something about CPU and voluntary administration.
Forthdan-V-PLN's colleagues in FCCCP are increasingly anxious about the current apparent instability and reductions in numbers of their core constituency in CPU but are sure that Forthdan has it all under control and it is entirely part of FC's grand program.

HPD&MC did a really solid job of building up a recruitment campaign unfortunately the actual parade was a bit of a fizzer. The reactor situation appears to be looking better but I wouldn't go outside just yet.
Long live the glorious people's revolution!
News summary for PLN/FAK - 1st place.
Such a minor task almost unworthy of Cestla-V-FAK's enormous talents. There was some disquiet about the costs but it appears to have silenced the remaining vestiges of troubleshooter activity.
News summary for PLN/UNN - 2nd place.
At last something that makes sense. Some serious drum banging always helps the cause. Where was that list?
1/ Restore communications with the 30% of the subsector that went offline during the recent reactor accidents. - Mostly done.
2/ Assess damage to the 48% of the subsector heavily effected by recent reactor accidents. - Looks extensive and expensive.
3/ Restore power and essential services to the 62% of the subsector effected by recent reactor accidents. - All in hand, see 2.
4/ Investigate and prosecute those responsible for allowing the recent reactor accidents. - A large number of suspects have been rounded up and all have made satisfactory confessions.
Written into the margin of this report was a note mentioning something about CPU and voluntary administration. - A group of Phial-UV's programming team may be on their way here, or they may be going to another sector. Nobody seems to know.

The loyal clones of Power Services did outstanding work in rectifying numerous sabotages and faults. Their performance was so good that it managed to overcome most of the effort that Technical Services was putting into making Power Services look like chumps.

The wearing of fuzzy hats appears to be a new trend in ORG subsector. What harm can that do?
There are reports of armed scuffles near the old Armed Forces barracks but nobody in INTSEC seem to know anything about it.

Looks like reactors in FAK are as easy to sabotage as ones in other sectors. Business is not looking up and certain people think that there is far too much lawlessness in FAK subsector. The Computer hasn't mentioned anything about it so who knows.
In unrelated news:
Cestla-V-FAK's personal body guard were all gunned down while they were on their way to escort her from her secure quarters. It looked professional.

With some effort it looks like the complete lack of external money can be dealt with by implementing a barter economy. The black market is really cleaning up and crime rates appear to be dropping as a result.

Amazingly good timing for R&D's latest food supplement trial! The whole sector volunteered to do the experiment for the whole cycle! Data is literally streaming in! Is there no end to your genius Ei-V-VAL Sir!
In unrelated news:
There was a major breakdown in the water treatment and recycling plant. One of the teams sent to evaluate said it was entirely a power problem and they didn't have the right key cards or equipment. A second team returned after saying the fault was entirely a technical matter related to misuse of equipment and they didn't have the tools or access programs to make any repair. A 'joint' team has now been sent but isn't responding to requests for an update.

Friend Computer moves in mysterious ways. Mysterious if you consider all the smouldering rubble over at Armed Forces in any way a mystery. 100 000 Plasma Rifles made to a new R&D design in the hands of 100 000 goons all watching a vid screen showing choreographed dancing and firing INCLUDING spins. At least we were spared the expense of executing the director of that 'dance spectacular'.

Hot Diggitty! Our robot absolutely demolished the opposition! We would have won the competition if it wasn't for that pesky XAI Subsector bot's brilliant violin playing. Turns out a violin isn't a large array of rocket launchers. Something smells of the vats in XAI subsector though.

IntSec are asking if they should pursue the issue of the recently slightly less than victorious robot bearing a huge label on it's chest that read 'PRO TECH'.
Armed Forces are wanting to know when the new combots are going into general service.
