Now that this Phase V has begun, the locked Phase IV stuff takes up a huge section of the forum main page and looks rather ugly. Is there a provision in phpBB to move it all into some kind of archive folder/board so that we only have one board link instead of twenty?

Perhaps your access level makes a difference.
Who else can see the locked Phase IV stuff?

It's definitely hidden from accountless people. I wasn't aware it was supposed to be hidden from regular users. Why should it be?

So it doesn't clutter up the board..
Your access would be via an index which I have yet to write (sorry been busy with other stuff on the board).
It is currently set as registered(hidden) and I had hoped that this would achieve the result it has certainly achieved for unregistered while allowing registered users to navigate to it via an index from an unhidden part of the board. I suspect (previous post) that the permissions you have as a result of being a member of a particular group is why you can see it but I'm a musican not a php technician by any stretch of the imagination.
If you have an alternative solution I'm all ears.

My hypothesis is that if you move the subforums (such as "HEL Sector") from the "Past IC content" area to the "SuperSecret" area, I postulate they might pick up the desired permissions and behave as initially hoped.
 Rumors that there is any "SuperSecret" area are Treason. Please report for your Brainscrubs immediately.

Hmm. If you know what you're doing, you could copy whatever code Takyn did to make the Super Secret section hidden and paste it into the Past IC content section; same effect without the aesthetic loss.

Well now I have no clue what you've done with them! There is nothing in the dropdown list, and the only remaining forum in 'Past IC content' I can see on the front page is the secret society I used to belong to (i.e. Mystics). Did you flip the wrong switch?

No. That is working as intended for now. That is what an index page will be needed for. Having twenty new items on a drop down menu is not seen as a step forwards. I'm not ruling doing that out but think the new solution (when fully implemented) will be a better solution.

Everyone keep in mind too, after we launch the Wordpress, the forum software will be the next target of my attention. So if something isn't behaving properly now, it might later. Part of that process may involve dealing with the archived forums in some way yet to be determined.
