Happy 214!
Oh my, another turn of the year! How time flies when you're having fun. The year 213 seems only a week ago. As you'd expect, production and service targets will be set to outdo last years, thanks to improved technologies and management and the intensified war on treason. Like last year, we have a lot of new things in store, to be released according to the newly revised innovation schedule, which I am afraid is not available at your security clearance. All the UVs of P-Live wish you another happy year in Utopia.

Special Mission!
High Programmer Jazzer has ordered HPD&MC's Medical Services to treat [DFSR]his spouse[/DFSR]Citizen Jan with classified chemotherapy after she was treasonously infected with breast cancer by Commie Mutant Traitors. Rest assured that the Armed Forces have obliterated the traitor's hideout. The chemotherapy will be most successful with mandatory complementary happiness therapy. Participation in this therapy is mandatory for all citizens as per the special mission directive below.

The mission: Obtain a short haircut and photograph yourself. Once suitably cut and/or shaven, you are asked to send a virtual postcard to me at slimturtle (at) gmail (dot) com offering well wishes and/or good luck to Jan. These will be forwarded to her as and when most needed. Before/after pics are not necessary, but are welcome. Already-hair-deprived individuals are also welcome to participate (as is anyone). Shaving your head is not necessary, but extra Cold Fun rations go to anyone loony enough to go for it. Anyone who simply wishes to send supportive emails to Jan is also welcome.

Clearance to use all materials necessary for this mission is granted to all Citizens, provided [DFSR].

Aaaand... we're back!
Not that we've ever been gone of course. Any rumours to the contrary are treason and will be dealt with swiftly and violently. Please give thanks to all High Programmers for your continued existence here.

Celebrating twenty and five years of PARANOIA
As chronicled in Gamma Very High Programmer Allen Varney's archives, the year 194 of the Computer saw the first edition of the PARANOIA roleplaying game. Utopia was warmly embraced and Citizens all over the world were very happy. After countless Communist infiltrations and Free Enterprise takeovers, it became popular to go Ourdoors to try different things. Twenty years later, the year 214 saw the rebirth of Utopia and Citizens were all too eager to rejoin Alpha Complex and the rule of the Computer. This was such a success that the year 214 has been iterated five times so far.

This year, the Computer declared it is time to celebrate these twenty and five years of PARANOIA. Here at we will be celebrating these anniversaries with special events. Keep an eye out for more news soon!

Presidential Elections?!
Why elections would be necessary in a world where everything is perfect (yes, really, the Computer says so, remember?), is anyone's guess. Ok, so they're not necessary, they sure are bound to increase Citizen Joe-R's happiness index by 0.2%. HPD&MC says so. Do you doubt HPD&MC? So can we have elections in PLN Sector? Yes, we can! Visit the IC forum game to find out more about it.

The administrators of Paranoia-Live (yes, we do still exist - any rumors mentioning the contrary are punishable by summary termination) wish you a happy holiday season. All the best to you and yours and may your need for Troubleshooters be minimal, except for fun.
